Florsheim Has Classy Shoes For Boys {Review}

My son needs at least one good pair of shoes for that ‘just in case’ scenario that always pops up. Those times never allow you to run and buy that decent pair of shoes or outfit.  My husband often buys Florsheim shoes which are one of the more comfortable brands of dress shoes. He does not have an office job, instead he regualarly spends 8-10 hours a day on his fit working retail. My thought was if dad can wear these standing on his feet all day then son can definitely be comfortable!

My husband chose the Lakeside Jr. lace up Oxford in the color navy and although I wasn’t thrilled with his selection, when I saw them on my son for the first time I instantly changed my mind. I think these shoes are a great alternative to the ordinary sneaker and give your kids character and class. My son instantly thought he was dressing like daddy to go to work and it was so cute the outfit he chose to wear.

The fit of the boat shoes, as I like to call them, are snug and do not slide off his feet, even when he runs. He has worn them without socks and they will slide slightly but nothing Cal is uncomfortable with or he would have told us. These shoes are not meant to be worn with thick socks so make sure you have a thinner dress sock for them to fit properly. There are shoelaces that tie however they are not really meant to tighten the shoe.

We are very excited to see him dressed up for Easter. We’re hoping the weather permits him to wear a pair of shorts as the description of the shoes suggests. There’s something 1950’s about that look and I always giggle thinking about him dressed up like his grandpa.
