My son loves dogs and animals of any kind. He’s always, always jumping on his dog Elanore and we are so glad she has the patience of a saint. I was happy to have the chance to review Santa Paws 2 since I knew my son would love all of the dogs in the movie. He also brings up the topic of Christmas and Santa quite often so this title was perfect. To be three again right?
We’ve never watched a live action film with my son and weren’t sure how he would do. But the first scene grabbed his attention and it was a go from there. I asked him who his favorite puppy was and he said ‘Noble because he gets into trouble like I do”. While this is true, Noble means well but usually leads his sisters into trouble. The story follows a widower and his two children and their journey through the holidays after losing their loved one. The Santa Pups accidently grant a wish to end Christmas spirit and then they must race to restore the spirit before Christmas. I thought the movie was good and kept the attention of my little one for a good portion of the film! Below you’ll see a clip of the movie and a brief synopsis.
The North Pole has a new litter of playful pups! However, when the frisky foursome—Hope, Jingle, Charity and Noble—practically destroy Santa’s Workshop with their mischievous gamboling, they realize the best way to prove that they’re responsible enough to become Santa’s Helpers is to show how well they can spread the Christmas spirit all by themselves. With help from a magic crystal, they start granting everyone’s wishes. But their good intentions backfire when one unhappy boy asks that Christmas go away forever! With his wish impetuously fulfilled, and the joyous spirit quickly disappearing from the planet, Mrs. Claus and the pups have to find a way to reverse the spell—or risk losing Christmas forever!
The film will be available for purchase at retail stores nationwide as a 2-Disc Blu-rayTM Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD) for the suggested retail price of $39.99 U.S., a 1-Disc DVD for the suggested retail price of $29.99 U.S., and via High Definition Digital for the suggested retail price of $39.99 U.S. on 11/20!
