This is my favorite time of the year. The weather is perfect for gathering the family to pick pumpkins, have bonfires in the backyard, or last-minute yard work before winter comes. It’s also the season for football and curling up with the family and watching the new seasons of our favorite shows or drinking hot chocolate while we watch Halloween movies (or Elf) repeatedly on weekends we don’t have anything to do which isn’t too often.

Did you know there’s technology that allows you to watch movies, shows, live TV, YouTube, and photos streaming on your TV from all your family’s devices? I didn’t either until I ready about the Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player. Plug Chromecast into the HDMI port on your TV to power and stream your favorite entertainment right from your phone with just a tap. Watch shows, listen to playlists, plus while streaming, you can still use your phone as you normally do.

Google Chromecast works with the streaming apps you know and love which allows you to enjoy TV shows, movies, videos, songs, games, sports and more from over 2000 apps like Netflix, YouTube, YouTube TV, and HBO NOW¹. You can also stream with just your voice. Do you know how many times a day I hear ‘”Okay, Google, play the Gummy Bear Song”¹. Yay me. <Insert a lot of sarcasm> You could say something like “Ok Google, play Stranger Things from Netflix on my living room TV.” ¹

My friend has the Google Chromecast and her family loves it. I think it offers more than Roku. My grandkids have no problem understanding and watching what they want on both devices!
