Do you celebrate Chinese New Year? I enjoy teaching the kids about different cultures and their customs and I always try to find a study guide online to help in my teachings. I decided to create an easy recipe featuring Ling Ling Asian Food to have fun celebrating the Chinese New Year.
We decided to make Fried Rice with Yakitori Chicken and Pineapple. It was so easy to make and the kids already love all of the ingredients. As we were cooking I talked to them about Chinese New Year and some of the beliefs about luck. We didn’t sweep the kitchen afterward (we’d sweep luck out the door) and none of us washed our hair. They were convinced that they may when some upcoming baseball tournaments! Have fun making this easy recipe with your kids too!
What you’ll need:
1/2 Can Pineapple Tidbits
1 package Ling Ling Fried Rice Yakitori Chicken
Directions:
Cook the Ling Ling Yakitori Chicken as directed.
Add the pineapple tidbits while cooking. I only used half a can of the pineapple but you can use as little or as much as you want.
If you cook both packages of the Ling Ling Yakitori Chicken I recommend using a whole can of pineapple.
Serve and Enjoy!
Ling Ling also offers a line of Ling Ling Fried Rice with five unique dishes based on pure and authentic Asian inspired recipes from Japan, China, Korea and Thailand.
- Yakitori Chicken
- Yakiniku Beef
- Thai-Style Chicken
- Chinese-Style Vegetable
- Bibimbap Beef
Don’t forget to savor the flavors of Asia. Every bite of Ling Ling foods transports you directly to Asia. Ling Ling traveled the continent to collect recipes from China, Japan, Korea, and Thailand, so can you experience the best of each region.

We are still buying and eating Ling Ling’s meals. They are delicious and have a few good healthy choices! We haven’t tried the Thai food. There is no problem for me to eat a whole can of pineapple 🍍 Thank you for sharing!

I absolutely love Chinese food, and the great thing is with frozen, you don’t have to pay for food you aren’t going to eat. I love the fried dumplings and egg rolls. You can normally find those in the frozen section as well. I also love the crab rangoon. Turns out you could have a full fledged feast with only a small amount of money spent.

This is going down in our house, I’m a sucker for anything pineapple and LOVE fried rice. I’m wondering if I can use fresh pineapple, did you use the liquid at all? Thanks for any info.
