I received a book in exchange for this post.
When this book arrived at our home, my 8-year-old daughter immediately wanted to start cooking. She was excited to cook “on her own” and have recipes that were easy for her to follow. Every year our family goes to a local farm to pick apples and celebrate the fall season. The decision on what to make first was easy, applesauce! This easy-to-follow recipe allowed Ella, my daughter, to go step by step through the process without needing much assistance from me. The recipe called for chunky applesauce to be the end result, but our family prefers it to be smooth. No worries, we easily took the cooked apples and put them through the colander.
This book is kid-friendly, full of yummy recipes, and has beautiful illustrations. Chef Gino’s Taste Test Challenge has been a huge hit for our family, and we can’t wait to make our next meal!
