One of my New Year resolutions was to simplify our household. Honestly, in my mind, I was thinking pare down clothes we don’t wear, toys we have forgotten, extra kitchen towels that one may hoard, etc. We started with toys before the holidays and we donated some great (nearly new) toys to some local children in need. The kitchen towels were harder for me, as I quickly learned I have a problem 😉 One night while having dinner, I was grumbling about the baby’s high chair. The tray was on the smaller side, it didn’t clasp fully and the footprint of the chair was clunky and always in the way. My oldest daughter asked why we don’t simplify our highchair as well. Mind blown. Simplifying didn’t need to mean just getting rid of things; it also means making our lives less frustrating. I am now grateful to her big picture thinking and Joovy for introducing me to the simple and amazing New Nook.
We received the Turquoise New Nook to review. The first thing I greatly appreciated was the ease of set up. After opening the box, the little lady was testing her new chair out within 10 minutes! And I don’t know about your one-year-old, but when mine is done with mealtime, she is DONE. The one-handed swing open tray is perfect for those quick after dinner escapes! I also love the adjustable tray. Other high chair trays always seem to be too far from little one, resulting in food dropped in the chair. With the New Nook, there are 4 different points to grow with your child. Also, the leatherette that the seat is made from wipes up so easily!
We have been enjoying our simplified New Nook now for several weeks and the whole family agrees this is the perfect chair for us. It is easier to clean, easier to get baby in and out of, and super simple to fold and store. We typically keep the high chair up and at the table, but there have been a few occasions where we wanted the extra space. The ONE handed compact fold has been so convenient. We’ve put it in a corner in the dining room, in our broom closet and easily in the trunk for a family gathering.

What a smart design. When my daughter was that size those things were so clumsy!
