Wooden Watch Review
Since I started my journey into motherhood over seven years ago, I started limiting extras for myself, like so many other parents do. Some out of necessity and others because it was easier. With my first, I chose not to wear my wedding ring because the diamond sets up higher and I was scared to scratch my new daughter. Fancy necklaces and earrings were out as the kids got grabby and would try yanking them off me. As easy as it was to make those changes, there is still a part of me that always wants to personalize a bit. I was introduced to Jord watches. They are classy, timeless and match every style.
Jord offers hand crafted wooden watches for women and men. However, each piece is more than just a wristwatch, it’s a timepiece with a style all its own and tells a story. Each watch is made from 100% natural wood and no toxic chemicals are used to treat or protect the wood. The clasps are stainless steel, but other than opening the clasp to put my timepiece on, I never saw the steel.
I received the Fieldcrest Zebrawood and Maple piece to review. The first thing I noticed was how striking the actually piece is. The face is a Maplewood, nice and light and makes reading the face easy. The Zebrawood , however, is what makes the watch. It adds more personality to my wrist than other jewelry I could have chosen. I appreciated sizing my wrist properly before ordering my Jord piece, as it fits perfectly. There are no extra links to be taken out, or the watch turning on my wrist. These pieces would make such cool gifts for someone in your life. They arrive beautifully in a wooden display box. I have been able to wear my watch in everyday situations, a wedding and a night out with friends. It really does fit every style and my personality! And I am happy to report, the watch hasn’t been torn off or even noticed for that matter by the baby.

I like that they don’t use chemicals to treat the wood. I’m careful about using treated wood in my garden, but wouldn’t have thought about it on my wrist!
