My older two kids have been potty trained for a while and they were fairly easy. My oldest son took the initiative and would watch his daddy use the restroom and it just clicked one day. No, he wasn’t instantly potty trained but my job wasn’t as tedious as it could have been. He had a good handle on things by the time my daughter was born at about 26ish months. My daughter was a different beast but I must say, in my experience, the girl was harder to train than the boy. She was a few months past three before she really got the hang of it but it took Big C patiently teaching her to go potty. I’m not kidding. The kid taught himself and her and I’ve got memories on Facebook documenting this phenomenon!
