- We named our eldest son after a famous comic strip. Now he shares a name with a famous singer but everyone remembers his name.
- We’ve named all of our animals after movies. Our cat is Snoogs from Mallrats (Snoochie Boochie) which turned into Snoogs.
- I met my husband my junior prom. He hooked me a few weeks later when he showed up in his ’65 Mustang which I didn’t know he owned.
- My best friend married his best friend. Now our daughter and their son are best friends.

It varies, but I generally give something useful–this year it was a set of miniature measuring spoons (smidgen, drop, etc.) and 2 kitchen towels.

I haven’t had the chance to gift anything to a teacher yet as my son is only 2, but I love treats and indulgences plus something sentimental!! Starbucks, candy, coffee and this book would be just amazing!

It’s nice when you know something about them and can make a basket just for them…like tea, different teas and a special cup, items for a movie night. If can’t do that a gift card to go out to eat.
Jerrica Evans says
My children and I always bake cookies, brownies and candies to give to their teachers.

Favorite thing to give teachers is small magnets with pictures.

I like giving teachers candles. I want it to be something they will most likely use. Perfumed items, like bath sets, don’t always smell nice to everyone, not all teachers take baths. If it’s a male teacher we try to find a place they like to eat at and give a gift card.

I like the hair dryer. I think it would help smooth my hair and keep it in control. The straighteners would be good for my daughter.
