When you bring home a newborn baby, everything is sunshine and rainbows, right?! I don’t know about you, but those first few nights are pretty rough. You both are up every couple of hours, baby is starting to get used to her lungs and the only thing that seems to sooth them is closeness to momma. Baby is so used to being close to you every step of the way, that being in the big world is very new and a little unsettling. The two main things that helped me through those sleepless nights, was a great swaddle and having little Miss close to me in bed. I love that Halo knows exactly what baby and moms need, safe, close sleep.

I received the Halo Bassinest in the Essentia Series. The first thing I realized when we set it up, was how sturdy it is! The base is adjustable, so it can fit almost any bed height. I was appreciative of this because our bed sets up a bit higher than normal, but the Bassinest still set next to it perfectly. I love the 360 degree swivel. It’s very easy to get in and out of bed and the swivel doesn’t disturb baby while she’s sleeping. I can have baby right next to me, without the worry of in bed co-sleeping. I truly appreciated the side wall and how easily it lowered when I wanted to reach in and get baby out. Also, the wall can be locked in the upright position if you prefer. On the premier models, there are lullabies, a nightlight, vibration and a nursing timer. Although my model didn’t have these features, I am still over the moon with it.

Back Is Best

Baby and I have loved our experience with our Halo Bassinest, but the other members of my family are enjoying it as well. My husband likes that he isn’t kicked out of our bed by an in bed co-sleeper, but how close our daughter can be to us. My older two children also like peeking through the breathable mesh and talking with their sister.

If you are looking for a safe place for baby to sleep before or instead of a crib, or are looking for an amazing baby shower or Holiday gift for new parents; I highly recommend a Halo Bassinest! Keep up to date with Halo on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
