We are a family of doodlers, multi-taskers and to do lists. My daughter will be eating breakfast and think of a mermaid she wants to draw, I will remember a site I want to check out and hubby daydreams new golf course designs. I was introduced to an amazing company that helps solve our table time doodles and put a modern twist and look on our table!
Modern-twist is an eco-friendly, food grade silicon development company and their amazing items are hand silk screened. The product that has helped solve our doodling? Their placemats and Mark mats. They are super cute, but more important than that, functional and reusable. We received the Alphabet Mark Mat and it helped my kids practice letters, coloring in the lines and animals. After it gets completely covered in marker (or food, it is a placemat after all) you can easily wipe it clean. Oh yeah, all of their products are all dishwasher and microwave safe too! Modern-twist has an amazing variety of placemats and mark mats that come with nontoxic dry erase markers.
We also tried the Modern-twist Munch-mate. These little sets are adorable and genius. They are brightly colored three-piece sets, perfect for babies and their first foods and toddlers alike. The bowl comes with a multi-purpose lid that can be used as a plate as well. And the little cup is the perfect size to a drink with a kids’ meal, yet small enough to fit perfectly in little hands. My little king of beasts absolutely fell in love with the orange Dandy Lion. If you love these designs as much as I do, they also offer coordinating mats and bucket bibs!
If alphabets and animals aren’t your decorating choice, have no fear, they have very modern designs on placemats, coasters and table runners. All of these items travel well and the placemats are perfect to take to a restaurant to keep the kids germ free and entertained.

This is a fun idea. I used to go to a restaurant they had a tablecloth that had paper on it, and they give everyone crayons (so many kids there!!). Kids love it, and grown ups like to doodle esp while waiting for your yummy dinner!

We have little doodlers in our house too. What a great idea. I have a couple of grandchildren that would love the ABC Mark-Mat. They would have so much fun with it.

Love the cute mark mat. That would be ideal for my nephew as his mom has a hard time getting him to sit and eat, he always has things he wants to do. This would give him something to do and he won’t have to leave his seat. Thanks for sharing.
