Last week I was walking through our living room and I tripped over wooden train tracks and a Hot Wheels test track. Anyone else know how fun and comfortable that is? Yeah, it isn’t. You can beg a three year old a hundred times to pick up his roadways, but often it’s forgotten. Fast forward to this past weekend and we got to try out a new product that can help alleviate these issues! Introducing PlayTape from InRoad Toys. The main idea behind this genius product is the non-marking roll out tape with a likeness of a real road or train tracks.

PlayTape comes in various lengths, widths and colors including the Classic Roadway and Railway series. The tape stuck easily to both hardwood and carpet but don’t worry parents; it comes up with no leftover sticky residue. It’s a breeze to rip off when you have pulled out the length needed for play. I recommend using scissors if your kid is like mine and gets frustrated with a torn edge. “It doesn’t look like a road mom, it looks ripped.” This tape was perfect for us. All of my son’s varying sizes of cars, trucks and trains all worked with the roadways and it was fun seeing the town f roads he created. My little guy loved having the cars wait as trains passed by. We also got to try the purple roadway, which my daughter thought was much more fashionable than the plain black roads!

One of the best things I like is these roads are so much easier to transport and pack. Also, it’s affordable enough that you aren’t heart broken when you dispose of the tape after playtime (day/week) is over. I know when we take our next trip, we’ll be packing Road Tape with a few cars and trains, instead of the bulky carrying cases. These are great for the kids in your life and you will even enjoy them yourself.

Oh I love this idea! We made a few roads around Christmas time with painters tape…this would be so much more fun to have an actual road! Oh we have to get this! So neat!
