We had our Thanksgiving on Tuesday since my husband works on Thanksgiving day. It’s such a bummer but I wanted to make something that was quick to eat but had a touch of Thanksgiving for him while he was at work. I came up with a left over Turkey sandwich with a little twist that he loved.
This sandwich is just not possible if you don’t have Hellmann’s. Yes. I’m THAT person. I stick by my mayo and my husband won’t eat a sandwich that has another brand on it. I suppose you could say we’re snobs but honestly we’re not . We just know what we like.
Left Over Turkey Sandwich
ingredients:
Left Over Turkey
Dried Cherries, Craisins or raisins
Stuffing or Dressing
Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
Cheese (Optional)
2 slices of bread (I chose a left over homemade roll)
Instructions:
Take your bread (or slice homemade roll in half) and slather on Hellmann’s Mayonnaise on one half
On the other half layer turkey, cheese (optional) and stuffing or dressing then put a little more mayo on top
Sprinkle with a few dried cherries
Top with other bread half
I wrapped the sandwich and put it in the refrigerator so the flavors could meld together. Yum!
