Play dates. I’m sure you’ve had them and if not your kids would love you if you did! They don’t have to be fancy or time consuming either. Every day when my son gets off the bus he asks if his friend Porter can come play. Usually once a week the kids are here or there and what’s great is that Miss C  and Mr. C2  can have lots of fun since he has younger siblings. Our Let’s Imagine Elmo party was the perfect child and adult play date to get to know other moms in the neighborhood.

The kids loved the start of the show, Elmo. I remember when my nephew was a toddler and the first Tickle Me Elmo came out. We still have the original and it seems like Playskool comes out with something better each year!

Their favorite costume of Elmo’s was the sea captain hat which they thought was a pirate. I couldn’t  All of the kids either squawked and pretended to be parrots on each others shoulders or they were the pirates with peg legs and polka swords. Overhearing kids talk when they think no one is around is so amusing!

It was great to watch the kids play with different toys for different ages. The bigger kids helped navigate the playing field for the younger kids. They were always coming up with different silly songs added to what Elmo said, made the Transformers Mashable into a potato boat or was showing Mr. C2 and baby Weston how to push the gears on the Stack N’ Spin Monkey Gears.

The boys love the Transformers Mixable, Mashable Heroes Optimus Prime and Grimlock. Calvin has not seen the new movie but has watched some of the older episodes from the 80’s. The kids were able to interchange the parts and even got out some of the Mr. Potato heads.

Mr. C2 enjoyed watching the lights on the Stack N’ Spin Monkey Gears. He would start to cry and I’d have him press the button and he’d look at the toy amazed. I was hoping that the music and lights would last longer than they did but each time we pressed the button he was entranced.

Let’s Imagine Elmo
Bring the learning adventures from the Elmo the Musical segment on Sesame Street off the screen and into the family room with the interactive LET’S IMAGINE ELMO plush!  This cute 13-inch Elmo pal comes with three different hats that unlock different imaginary themes and play modes.  Place the crown on Elmo’s head to play a game of “Prince Elmo Says,” pop on the cowboy hat to learn about numbers in the “Countin’ Cowboy” game, or put on the sea captain hat for a fun “Sounds of the Sea” game.  Kids can also tickle his belly, squeeze his nose, or bounce him for a fun reaction.

Transformers Mixable, Mashable Heroes Optimus Prime and Grimlock
Optimus Prime spud partners up with Grimlock spud to battle the Decepticons!  Squeeze the Grimlock figure’s eyes and watch as his jaw chomps and launches a projectile!  Includes one two-inch potato body and three pieces to construct Optimus Prime spud and one four-inch potato body with parts and pieces to construct Grimlock spud.

Stack N’ Spin Monkey Gears:
Gear up for some silly fun!  With the STACK ‘N SPIN MONKEY GEARS toy, little ones can build up the fun by placing colorful gears all around their monkey friend’s belly, hands, and feet. Once all the gears are set, press the central gear to make them turn, hear silly monkey music, and watch little lights twinkle!  Kids’ sorting and stacking skills will be rewarded with this delightful visual experience!

What Playskool toys are on your holiday or birthday list this year? We love the Playskool brand since it can last for years. Elmo is proof of that!
