Here in Northeast Ohio, the weather has already changed from a beautiful 75-80 degrees to 50-60 degrees each day. The kids are wearing coats, the heater has been kicked on and sadly, my flip flops have been packed away. Since the fall season is upon us, it is time for me to start updating my footwear to be appropriate with the season. I had the opportunity to try a new pair of boots from Dansko’s Fall collection.
I chose the classy and classic Billie from the Barcelona Line. It was my first foray into shopping for shoes in a European size. Luckily, everything is easy to find on the Dansko site, and their size offers a range of a half size to next full size. I chose the Black, burnished nappa leather booties.
My first impressions were all positive. They are shiny, dressy and beautiful. I am glad I chose the size, that was up a half size, as the leather is a tad snug since I haven’t worked them in completely. They are the perfect height for my lifestyle and are easy to clean, with just a damp soft cloth. (Yes, I’ve already had to wipe them off!) The heel height is a comfortable two inches, so they are comfortable wearing to work all day, or running to catch a bus! I’ve had the opportunity to wear the boots with both business casual clothing and jeans and they look fabulous with both.
I was worried that the leather may be too stiff and I wouldn’t want to wear them for extended periods of time. Boy was I wrong! These are extremely comfortable and look great too. A match made in Heaven for a girl who was sad about giving up her summer footwear.

My danskos are a fave, especially in the winter- I love that they keep out moisture. I don’t love them for going on walks though, my feet get tired! 🙂
I hate giving up my summer flip flops! But I totally agree that my feet need to be warmer during the winter months. I like the fact that Dansko has so many styles and from what I have heard, are much more comfortable than other clogs I have purchased.

I have very wide feet, so find shoes that are stylish and comfortable is very hard for me. The boots you have there look great and I like that they are easy to care for.
I have read a lot on these Dansko shoes and they sound fascinating and I like the different patterns and styles they offer, the black Billie from the Barcelona Line, are very nice and sleek looking. Thank you for sharing this review

I have never tried these shoes. However, I think they have so great styles. I was amazed at the quality and comfort these shoes have.
Danskos are great shoes! I have had several through out the years. Love them- the durability, the quality in construction, and the many varieties.

My favorite shoes to wear are my flip flops LOL sadly can’t wear them once the snow hits! love these boots and glad you mentioned getting a half size larger. I hate when my boots are to snug! ty for the review!

I looked at some of the shoes from Dansko and I really like them. Comfortable winter shoes are hard for me to find.
