barbarascookiepiesWho doesn’t love cookies? How about pies? Combine them, you have Barbara’s Cookie Pies! These are amazing little things that I stumbled across and now I get the lucky chance to review them. These cookie pies are out of this world amazing, but I’ll get to the mouth watering details further down. Barbara’s Cookie Pies was founded by Barbara herself as the recipes are a family tradition. Below is a small snippet from their site.

Combining her educational and professional marketing background with her love of baking, and to find a way to honor her Mom and wonderful family, Barbara embarked on this new business venture. Starting small, but thinking big, she created Barbara’s Cookie Pie Company. Barbara uses the same butter cookie dough that’s been passed through the generations in her family as the platform to build her unique Cookie Pies. Each pie is inspired by a family member or friend in her life.

I personally had never heard of cookie pies until I found Barbara’s Cookie Pies. Let me just say I will probably be craving these for years to come. These will be special ordered by me every year for any occasion. They’re perfect to just snack on or to give as a gift during any time of the year.

cookiepiesI received the Peanut Butter Cup and Oreo Creme cookie pies including a tray of holiday cookies to review. I wish I had more to review, they were amazing!

Peanut Butter Cup: The chocolate overlaying the pie is not overwhelming. It actually tastes somewhat like a reese’s cup but in pie form! These are easy to cut into and to pick up and simply munch on. The peanut butter flavoring is top notch and the crust is a buttery flavor that is out of this world. It’s the perfect crust to round out any type of pie whether it’s a pumpkin pie or a cookie pie! My husband devoured the majority of this one. I probably had a few slices but then again he’s a huge peanut butter and chocolate fan.

Oreo Creme: I must say this is my favorite one. Then again I liked both of them the same. The Oreo Creme has the right amount of crushed cookies on the top with that sweet creamy pie filling. It’s as though you took a container of oreo cookies and took all the creme from the middle of them and made a pie. The buttery crust once again is a perfect ending to this pie. It helps blend all the flavors together. This is an amazing pie I must say I have to have more! It was gone before I knew it though..

Holiday Cookies: If you’re not sure of what to bring to a Christmas party or even to a relative’s house on Christmas day, order a plate or a tray of Barbara’s cookies. These are amazing and perfect for the holiday season. There are a variety of buttery cookies with sprinkles or even cookies that have sweet jam in the center. When you bite into it all you can taste is that sweet delectable jam and hints of butter from the cookie itself. The top part is dipped in chocolate with sprinkles. Each cookie you eat will make you want more until they’re all gone.

If I haven’t made you drool enough then head over to Barbara’s Cookie Pies and delight in the delicious photos they’ve provided. Perhaps pick a few pies up for the holidays, you’re not too late! You can purchase the Peanut Butter Cup and Oreo Creme Pies for $19.50 and a 1 LB Holiday Cookie Platter for $19.50 (Not reviewed, I received a small plate).
