swerveIf you have read my reviews and posts before I love anything that is all natural. I love my sugar but if I can get some where it’s all natural then I’ve hit the jackpot! Swerve is exactly what I have been looking for and I received a container to review. I’m excited to introduce Swerve Sweetener to you. Did I mention it has zero calories? Yeah! No calories is a good thing! Below are some actual facts about this sweetener along with what I (and my husband) think of it!

As a replacement for sugar, Swerve is zero-calorie, non-glycemic and safe for those living with diabetes.  Human tests have shown Swerve does not affect blood glucose or insulin levels. There is no other sugar alcohols such as xylitol, sorbitol and maltitol there is no digestive intolerance (no laxative effect).

Swerve is:

  • Zero Calories
  • Non-Glycemic
  • Natural
  • Non-GMO
  • No MSG

If there’s one thing you don’t know about me it’s that I’m allergic to MSG. The fact that this has no MSG makes me feel so much better to put it in the foods I am cooking.

allnaturalThe sweetener is granulated somewhat like regular sugar but is not as rough. It’s somewhat softer. My husband put it in his cup of coffee and said it is definitely no where near as sweet as regular sugar. I agree with him and it’s also not as strong as sugar either. It still has a subtle flavor but you may want to put a little more than you normally do when you’re putting it in coffee. The fact that it is zero calories helps make me feel better about putting a little extra into my cup! I’m excited to use this in a lot of things especially baking. For now we have used it on cereal and in our coffee and the same thought comes to mind: It’s not as strong as sugar but it still has a bit of subtly sweet flavor and it’s so much healthier for you than other kinds!

I plan on baking a nice pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving so if you come back you will see my review with Swerve added to my recipe (I’ll also include the recipe too!). Stay tuned, and #switchtoswerve, it’s worth it!

You can purchase Swerve for $5.99 for an 8oz container like I received.
