yarnIf you’re looking for some amazing yarn to add to your collection and to craft with, The Fiber of My Being has a variety of amazing types of yarn to select from. The company is owned by Brandi Schoch who has a fiber animal rescue farm. She personally takes care of the animals on the farm and spins their fur into beautiful skeins of yarn. My mother received a gorgeous set from the Vegan Yarn Club to review and create some lovely pieces to share with you guys! Below is some information of this yarn club that you can also sign up for to receive monthly.

The yarn club for all vivacious vegan knitters and crocheters. Enjoy your plant fibers to your heart’s content. Have a new yarn sent to your doorway every month in amazing exclusive colorways just for this club. Pick your choice of intense or subdued colors to suit your style.

Take a look at some of the crafts my mother has knitted and read her reviews of each individual skein she received.

bananaBig Banana Yarn (200g. 150 yards): This is a yarn that is comfortable to work with and is a heavier yarn yet very warm and cuddly. You can make a beautiful bulky sweater however I made a scarf using a butterfly pattern as seen in the photo above. I’m ready for the snow with my warm scarf! This yarn is very nice to work with and soft to the touch. It also stayed on the needles much better than the other two.

silkyarnPeace Silk (50g, 230 yarns): I love the color of the yarn. It’s very subtle, soft color and very pleasing to the eyes. This “fingering yarn” likes itself more than it does being made into something. The person using it needs to have a lot of patience when crafting and probably can only knit or crochet using this. However it would make a beautiful lace shawl for an evening out or a prayer shawl.

fiberofmybeingHand Dyed Bamboo Yarn (3.5 oz, 246 yards): I enjoyed working with this yarn with it’s vibrant colors and the soft texture. The texture made it easy to work with. I knitted a slouch hat for my daughter Lorrie who is a hat person (see above photo). The vibrant colors fit her bubbly personality and made the hat unique. This yarn is light and very warm so it makes for a perfect winter hat.

I can’t wait to get some more of this yarn to knit with. Fiber of My Being has a large variety of yarns to choose from. You can purchase the Vegan Yarn Club for $75.09. Below is a small description of the yarn club and you will receive.

Fibers are plant based with the exception of peace silk. Peace silk is silk yarn created from discarded silk worm cocoons. Therefore no silk worms or moths are harmed. Yarns in this club include but are not limited to banana, bamboo, peace silk, linen and soy. You will receive a new skein of yarn every month for 3 months.
