When we went to see Planes the trailer for Free Birds started and my son burst out laughing as soon as he saw the talking turkeys! I immediately thought that we’d go see it on Thanksgiving since it’s usually just the four of us for the holiday. When your husband works retail it’s hard to travel for the holidays. November 1st is the big day and I think it’s going to be a winner with the kids. Watch the trailer below and I guarantee you’ll laugh.

In this hilarious, adventurous buddy comedy for audiences of all ages, directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears a Who!), two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history – and get turkey off the Thanksgiving menu for good.

Starring the voices of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Amy Poehler, Dan Fogler, Lesley Nicol, George Takei, Colm Meaney, Keith David, Carlos Alazraqui, Dwight Howard

What was your favorite scene? I die laughing every time I see the part about the baby bird and worms. Next, print out the coloring pages! Perfect to keep the kids busy while you cook on Turkey day!
