Thankfully these days I am getting sleep but believe me it’s not without my fair share sleepless nights and many more to come. When you have kids it’s a given that your days of dreamless sleep for the first couple of years will often be interrupted. I was given the opportunity to ‘give the gift of sleep’ back to someone and I had just the person in mind. My best friend Tonya. You may have seen some of her posts here on the blog but, like sleep, they aren’t as often since she’s become a full-time home care provider and recently found out she was pregnant with her fourth..boy…ahem. (That’s just my guess for the world to see I am right!) Needless to say, she’s surrounded by kids all day, and while she loves them all, she could use a few extra minutes of uninterrupted shut eye!
What did I do for her you ask? Since she lives in Ohio and I in Indiana it was hard to do a babysitting night as planned since the boys really couldn’t come over here for a sleep over. Instead, I got her some items the baby and boys would need that will easy her mind and perhaps let her sleep soundly. I was sent a $100 gift card to buy these items and you can see what I bought below.
I’ve sent these items to her via my in-laws who recently made a trip up here. Tonya was very excited and she had no clue I was going to give her these along with an IOU for one of their favorite restaurant, Mama D’s. That will be a great date night!
