TrumooflavorsHappy Halloween! It’s one of my favorite holidays and I love to decorate. I’m fond of going to Target the week after Halloween and picking up decorations for next year. I always pack them away and it’s so much fun seeing what I bought the previous year. Does anyone else do that? TruMoo wants to help you celebrate Halloween by making the beverage selection for your kid’s Halloween party easy!

What better flavors than TruMoo Chocolate Milk and TruMoo Limited Edition Vanilla Milk in Halloween orange! Who doesn’t enjoy a nice tall glass of chocolate milk after going Trick or Treating? I do know of a few friends who have a party immediately after the festivities however I do not. I am ready for bed after walking around in the cold for two hours! Instead, we have our get together a couple weeks before the 31st. It also helps separate the candy coma that will ensue after the 31st.

Did you know TruMoo is the nation’s leading ready-to-serve chocolate and vanilla milks? They also contain 35% less total sugar and 40% less added sugar and no high fructose corn syrup. Enjoy TruMoo on its own or brew up these creative concoctions:

The Spooky Smoothie is a flavorful combination of vanilla milk and Greek yogurt, which is blended with ice and topped with whipped cream. The fun is all in the orange-tinted Limited Edition TruMoo Lowfat Vanilla Milk, so make sure to serve it in a clear glass. I was disappointed that I could not find the orange milk ANYWHERE! Seriously. I really wanted to make this smoothie since the kids love Greek yogurt and I wanted to share what it looked like. I’m still on the hunt though!

Spooky Smoothy
Spooky Smoothie

Ingredients

3 cups Limited Edition TruMoo Lowfat Vanilla Milk (orange color)

1 ½ cups lowfat vanilla Greek yogurt

5 cups ice cubes

¼ cup fat-free whipped cream

Candy corn for garnish, optional

Directions

In blender combine TruMoo, yogurt and ice cubes. Blend on high speed until smooth and

creamy.

To serve, pour into serving glasses. Top with fat free whipped cream and candy corn.

Serves 4.

Why not try a Monster Mash Mudslide? MMM…this thing was soo good! Instead of heating it in a saucepan, I opted to blend with ice. I used teddy graham cookies (generic) and mini peanut butter cups for the ghost eyes. Ok Ok so they look like the State Puff Marshmallow Man AFTER he blew up in Ghostbusters but nobody’s perfect!

As you can see the kids loved it too! And they just about finished the glass before it was bathtime. They were messy despite it being a drink! I have no clue how any of them went to sleep that night but a rare treat once in a while is ok by me. To see their faces when I brought out the drink was the ultimate sugar high!

Monster Mash Mudslide

Ingredients

4 cups TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk

10 chocolate wafer cookies, coarsely broken (I used chocolate graham crackers)

½ cup frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed

8 mini chocolate chips or mini chocolate candies (I used mini peanut butter cups)

Directions

In blender, combine TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk and chocolate wafer cookies until

smooth. Heat mixture in saucepan or microwave until just heated through.* (I blended with ice)

To serve, pour chocolate milk mixture into 4 glasses. For each serving, spoon a large,

upright dollop of whipped topping to resemble a ghost. Insert chocolate chips or

chocolate candies into the dollop for eyes.

Serves 4.
