My son loves going fast! Dash from The Incredibles has inspired him to run, run, run. When he puts on his shoes he HAS to test them to see how fast they go. If they do not meet his standards for running then we cannot buy them since he quite frankly won’t wear slow shoes. I am happy to announce that the Valco Moc Toe Jr. in Olive Camouflage from Florsheim’s Kids line meets his ‘fastness’ standard. Dodged a bullet there!
My son typically wears wide shoe (we affectionately call him our Hobbit) however Florsheim Kids does not carry wide so we received medium. Their shoes run a little wider than average in my opinion and since I’d reviewed shoes from them before I knew they’d be fine. He tried on the 13 medium and was zooming around the yard in no time. I asked him often if they were comfy or if they hurt etc. and he said ‘no mom, they are great’.
We’ve gone to the park, shopping, school with the Valco and every time he’s loved wearing them. They are very boyish and rugged and can easily be worn with a nice outfit or simply with jeans and a t-shirt. These shoes give kids a neat sense of style that my son loves and they aren’t plain and boring. What little boy doesn’t like camo and playing with their army men?
