It’s not easy being green! OK so I think Kermit the Frog said that but it’s true! I try to make a conscious effort of the products that I bring into my house whether it be toys, food or cleaning products. I’m a mom and that’s my number one job. It’s also my job to make sure my kids aren’t going to contact items that can be potentially harmful to them. I try to be as safe and chemical free as possible but it doesn’t always happen.
We also try to recycle as much as possible, reuse old furniture (we haven’t bought new in a long time), conserve water by simply turning off the faucet when we brush our teeth, and I rarely buy bottled water. Instead, I fill water bottles for the kids and off we go. It’s not much but we’re getting better at not leaving as big of a carbon footprint! What do you do to be a ‘greener’ family?
