When I think of child safety, so many things run through my mind. I always think baby proofing a home, safety around water (bath and pool), away from heat, medicines and cleaners and so many more. Even after my third child, I still have the same worries about keeping my kiddos safe. One area that has changed and had some controversy is car seat safety. Forward facing, rear facing, boosters, expired seats, oh my! Another biggie with car seats is not wearing big or bulky coats while children are buckled in. Luckily Cozywoggle has created the first product that is safe to wear in a car seat and keeps the kiddos snuggly warm.
The reasoning behind not wearing bulky coats in a car seat is because straps are often loosed because of the coat and cannot hold the child properly. If there were an accident, the coat can compress, leaving all that extra room from the loosened straps for a child to be thrown from. And believe me, I understand if you are shaking your head at me, thinking of how cold your kiddos will be without a coat. Living in Northeast Ohio, usually we get our fair share of cold.
I have seen many suggestions to keep a kid warm and safe; including blankets in the car, wearing a coat backwards after the child is buckled, pre-heating the car, etc. However, Cozywoggle is the first product that actually wears like a coat and is safe to wear in the car! These coats have been crash tested and proven safe for five point harness seats, both forward and rear facing.
Now you have the opportunity to win a Cozywoggle of your very own, to help keep your child both safe and warm in the car!
