Before kids it was easy to sneak in a quick workout, or have some quiet time to gather my thoughts. After kids, it has become more of a chore to find quiet and alone time. Most of my workout time is at our local YMCA when the kids are in a class or the Child Watch. But there are definitely times when I want that at home experience.
I was recently introduced to Gaiam, a health and wellness company that offers me just those moments and accessories. I was given the opportunity to review two of their newest workout DVDs. The Ignite 900 Calorie Burn offers just 25 minute workouts. A half hour is completely reasonable! The one I enjoyed the most was Rodney Yee’s Complete Yoga for beginners. This was my first foray into yoga and I loved that it easily walked me through stretches, breathing and poses. At one point my five year old daughter came in, watched (quietly I may add) and peacefully tried her best.
Gaiam also offers many more amazing products; including yoga products, balance balls, weights, clothing, items for massage and so much more! Since testing out the two DVDs, I’ve noticed a Gaiam section at Target and now have a shopping list of great items I’d love to try out. I personally want a balance ball chair for my desk at work!
Gaiam offers Gaiam TV for those of you who want to watch all of the best videos and have them available at your fingertips. For a nominal monthly fee, they offer channels in yoga, health & longevity, seeking truth, spiritual growth and films & series.
I am thoroughly impressed with the Gaiam brand and all they have to offer. Take a look around their site and let me know what the first item you would get for yourself?
