The snow is finally starting to melt away here in Northeast Ohio. It’s muddy, rainy and still chilly, but spring is near! You start seeing pastel colors, flip flops start coming out and sunglasses are a daily accessory. My little fashionista reminded me as well that it’s almost swim suit season. I groan when I hear that, but when you’re five and a half, it’s exciting.
I was introduced to an amazing girls clothing company called Limeapple. This may make me sound like my mom, but girls’ clothes these days make them look older than they need to. I don’t know about you, but my daughter doesn’t need a low-cut V-neck shirt, juicy written on her bottom, etc. Limeapple has the same viewpoints. In fact, you need to read their beliefs in their own words.
in little girls being little girls for as long as possible
in afternoons spent jumping, running, playing and laughing
in not sacrificing comfort for style
in boundless imagination, limitless potential and endless curiosity
in healthy girls being happy girls
in confidence as fuel
in being strong in mind, body and spirit
in girls’ natural ability to lead, nurture and achieve
in happiness being contagious
If their encouraging words don’t pull you in, their clothing lines will! They offer active wear, casual clothing, team wear and a new spring swim line. We received the Panama one piece swimsuit to try out. The material is nylon and spandex and it also offers a UPF 50+ to block out the sun’s rays. It’s full coverage and also offers a quick dry time. The sizing is true to fit for us. We went a bit big to ensure she wouldn’t grow out of it by summer. I love how the hot pink flower just pops off of the black and white. Also in their swimwear line they offer two piece suits, long sleeves for full sun coverage and fun whimsical colors. Not one of their suits could be construed as distasteful and each I would be comfortable with my young daughter in.
Please take the time to check out all of their amazing pieces. I know I am already shopping in their active wear line, as my daughter love easy pieces to wear to and from gymnastics! Also take a peek at the bubble line. So soft, with gorgeous colors, now I just need to convince them to make something in my size! Take a whirl around their site and tell me what you love!
