My kids have been to bugs. Bug collecting, digging for bugs, studying bugs, bug hunting. The list is endless and so is their passion. I mention spiders and off they go to the basement looking for spiders in the cracks and crevices. It’s not just Mr. C but Miss C too is just as excited to go searching. I knew I had to get them something to collect and store their bugs. Uncle Milton has a great collection of bug paraphernalia that any young entomologist would love!
I was sent three items from Uncle Milton Toys that the kids absolutely love. The first is the Anteater Bug Vac that lets you catch live bugs. The kids love looking for spiders and on their first try they went outside and caught a ladybug. The vacuum is easy very easy to use since my two year old can turn it on and suck up bugs. Press the button and on he goes. He’ll suck up the bugs through his nose and then deposit them in the observation chamber. The bugs they caught were alive and not harmed.
They put the live ladybug they caught in the Critter Creek so they could observe what the ladybug was doing. It includes large viewing dome so they can easily see where their bugs were they caught, a magnifier which they used a lot for the ants they put in the dome and a detachable bug collector. They used the bug collector a lot when they were out in the yard and caught several bugs with the anteater. The Critter Creek sits on our fireplace and every now and then I’ll look and there’s a new bug crawling around!
We also received the Horrible Pets RC Tarantula. My son really enjoys watching the spider go around the house. My daughter will faithfully stay by Mr. C’s side but if he gets too close to her with the Tarantula then she flips and starts to whine. She’s also fine using the remote control but has no desire to be near the spider! The remote only has two buttons and you have to make sure it’s pointed directly at the spider. We received the Tarantula with fur that looks realistic but I recommend buying the one without fur if you have pets since it does collect hair on the ground.
Purchase the Anteater Bug Vac, Critter Creek, and Horrible Pets RC Tarantula on Uncle Milton’s Toys!
