Slow Cooking With Shirley J

I’m excited to share the amazing Slow Cooker line from Shirley J with you guys! Each container of Slow Cooker seasoning has ingredients that will blow your mind; After you’ve tried it. They have Beef, Pork and Chicken flavorings. I only shared with you Beef and Chicken mainly because those were favorites in my little house. The Pork however was tried and it has exploding flavors just like the other two, plus it’s incredibly easy to cook with! You basically have a meal in a 1/4 cup of the seasonings. Inexpensive. My husband and I managed to make the Beef Stew (Made with Beef Slow Cooker) last a couple days. For any of you Moms out there that like to do freezer meals, you might want to get some of these containers for yourself.

The Beef Slow Cooker, as seen in the above set of photos, is an incredible mixture of seasonings. A link to the recipe that I used is below, and it’s the reason why I made the Beef Stew in the first place. With 1/4 cup of the mix and water combined, I poured it into my Crock Pot (which can be used besides a slow cooker and it works just fine!) along with the chunks of beef, vegetables, onions and potatoes. I put it on low to cook for eight hours and stirred it a few times during that time. Towards the seven hour mark I turned it off since it was done by then. I even had my Mom taste it after it was done and without a doubt it was delicious. The tender beef falls apart after being cooked for so long, and the vegetables are nice and soft. It’s hard to describe exactly how it tasted so just imagine one of the best bowls of beef stew that you’ve ever had, and if not you will need to buy the Slow Cooker mix to try it yourself!

The Chicken Slow Cooker mix was easy to use, just like the Beef. Mixed with water, tossed in the Crock Pot with sliced chicken and some carrots and voila. You have a delicious melt in your mouth carrot and chicken meal. I added some tuna salad on the side that my sister made. Of course the chicken would go wonderfully with just about anything. Again, the meat fell apart. Quite often I have the problem with the chicken being too tough or not the right texture for the meal. Cook it long enough in Shirley J’s Chicken Slow Cooker and you have the perfect meal every time.
