Cook’n Recipe Organizer Review

For the most part, I’m a pretty simple girl. I don’t have trinkets all over my house, my wardrobe is kind of sparse and I’m happy to curl up with a good book and a glass of tea as opposed to doing just about anything else. However, when you walk into my kitchen, it is like an episode of “Hoarders”. I cannot get enough of cooking supplies and exciting ingredients. What’s worse than my kitchen? My recipe collection. I collect recipes like they’re going out of style. In our house, we RARELY eat the same meal twice.

I’m so excited to finally find a solution: Cook’n Recipe Organizer. Cook’n has a bunch of awesome features. You start by downloading the program onto your computer. Then the sky’s the limit. You can use the program to make a meal plan, check out the nutrition of recipes (taking the guess work out of eating healthy), sync your shopping list to your mobile phone and helps you organize your favorites. You can even put your own in there.

But here’s my favorite feature: the internet search. The program has a built in search engine that looks through the internet to find great recipes to fit your needs. You can even search by the ingredients you have on hand. Although I try to plan my meals two weeks at a time, sometimes I just need to come up with something with a few select ingredients and this totally helps!

Once you find these awesome recipes with the help of Cook’n you could do what I’ve always done (back to my recipe hording) and copy and paste the recipes URL and email it to yourself. Then move the email into a folder in your email account just for recipes. Yep, I know, I’m clever, right? But Cook’n has a much better plan. It captures the recipes for you and puts it in your own Cook’n Library. How cool is that?

Saved recipes can be customized to look just about any way you want. I love having freedom in this type of program! (I’m that girl who will spend an hour playing around to make the perfect avatar for an online forum or God forbid I’m playing a video game that has customizable options for my character!) It even makes your saved recipes look like actual recipe cards. What a great way to keep my recipes much more organized! I just have to take my laptop to the kitchen and I’m ready to cook. Or you can print off your own custom “family cookbook” and have a hard copy if you prefer the feel of paper.

Take some time and visit Cook’n’s website. You can watch online demos, sign up for their newsletter or buy your own copy for $79.95. And don’t worry – Cook’n gives a “200% guarantee” on their product. Trust me, you’ll love it.

(I was provided with a copy of Cook’n for review. However, all thoughts and opinions are completely my own.)
